Hi, this is your SRC executive here to tell you a few things about what is going on with our school and student representative council.George Street Middle School made approximately $300.00-$500.00 dollars for the Twitti School from the various fund-raisers we had recently including the bake sale, the grade eight hats initiative, and the keep the change campaign. We have decided that we are going to continue the "keep the change" fund-raiser because every little bit of money counts; even your pennies! A few things that we have been giving money to in the past little while are:
Our band so they can buy some new instruments
$200.00 to each house for student activities
Funds to Spark so we can continue having so many awesome choices to pick from
Turkeys before Christmas to help feed those in need
Money for the positive pool party tripThe SRC has also been talking about what the theme will be for this year’s winter/spring carnival. The house reps have gone around and asked the classes if they had any ideas for themes and those ideas will be considered and talked about at our next SRC meeting. This year’s carnival is sure to be a great success!Thank you to everyone who has been donating money to our Twitti School fund raisers. Every little bit counts and is greatly appreciated.
